CONTRAINDICATIONS
The fasting retreats offered by La Lune Rose are intended for healthy adults and are referred to as "wellness fasts." If you are undergoing any treatment, however benign it may seem, you will need to obtain a medical certificate stating that there are no contraindications to fasting. Indeed, some dosages may need to be modified or discontinued.
Here is the list of pathologies that do not allow you to fast at La Lune Rose:
-
Advanced coronary artery disease
-
Extreme weight loss
-
Eating disorders (anorexia and bulimia)
-
Advanced cerebral arteriosclerosis
-
Type 1 diabetes
-
Retinal detachment
-
Pregnancy or breastfeeding
-
Decompensated hyperthyroidism
-
Liver failure
-
Kidney failure
-
Tumor disease
-
Multiple sclerosis
-
Stomach or duodenal ulcer.
If in doubt, La Lune Rose, thanks to its partnership with the French Académie Médicale du Jeûne, can put you in touch with a doctor specializing in fasting for a consultation at a cost of 60 Euros.
